Being an advocate on behalf of others requires understanding their needs as individuals to represent them as they journey through the process of acquiring support. Although there are systems in place to help people, navigating can be confusing and time consuming.
As an advocate, I will use my Lived Experience to guide you through agencies such as the NDIS – National Disability Insurance Scheme, My Aged Care, and DFFH – The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
Advocating also means representing, supporting, speaking on your behalf and involving you so we together can remove barriers that may keep you from accessing all your entitlements to live a fullfilling and happy life with less stress.
While working along side you I will make it easy to understand each step and give updates as things change for you. We will also understand each other in a language that makes us equals as we work together for your goal or outcome

David has been of great help and support in a time of sadness and stress with my father needing palliative care and support in his home, David has been able to arrange at home care, Nursing staff to visit once a week, Carers to help dad conduct day to day tasks (showering, shopping) twice a week, he has as also arranged hand rails in Bathroom, a Walker for dad, transport when he want to go out, even a emergency necklace to call me and family on. As I live quite a distance from dad having all this place is amazing, I feel dad’s wellbeing and safety has been increased 10 fold and without David’s knowledge and help we would not be in such a good place.
